Don't be afraid to "adjust" your sails! We are always saying one of the great things about real estate estate is that we are always learning and the market is always changing. Of course going thru a pandemic took this saying to a level we never could have imagined. We are fortunate that we always try to be early adaptors for new technology so going paperless or using video was nothing new to us but we all still felt challenges during 2020. Most were immediate changes or shifts that needed to be done on a personal and professional level.
Time Management! When all of a sudden we became teachers, caregivers and so many more things all while continuing to do what we do every day (in a totally different way), time management and the use of a good CRM / Tasks scheduler is an absolute must!
Staying healthy. As agents we are typically very busy but add in all that happened in 2020 - being shut down to full blown speed all while taking extreme safety precautions typically takes a toll on what we are doing to stay healthy ourselves. We are always saying that you need to make sure you are taking the time to recharge yourself and that means taking a small break, exercising and whatever else you need to do to keep your health and wellness
Enhance that emergency fund. If we learned anything from 2020, it is that life can change in the blink of an eye. Make sure you enhance that emergency fund in case of an "emergency" which we all now know could mean a pandemic!
Surround yourself with positive connections. 2020 was rough in so many ways and it is very easy to turn on the TV and get consumed with negativity. Make sure to surround yourself with positive influencers in your life to lift you up, motivate you and move away from all the negativity. Our office philosophy is Eagles soar with Eagles and it has a lot to do with surrounding yourself with people that will make you a better person.
Weekly Activity Reach out to at least five people you care about and help them to acknowledge their resiliency through this. In doing so, they’ll feel better, you’ll feel better, and perhaps you’ll start a kindness train that keeps going for a while!
